Vintage posters for Sicilian citrus fruits
The industry revolving around citrus fruit – from growing trees to international exportation – was the crown jewel of Sicily’s most modern and dynamic economy between the 19th and 20th century. Oranges and lemons were the most popular symbols of Sicilian culture and tradition in the world: they became almost a trademark of the region.
