Under the starry sky of Val Gardena

A wonderful night in a mountain hut, surrounded by one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Dolomites, after lying on the grass to gaze at the stars: this is the unique experience the Hotel Tyrol in Selva, Val Gardena, can offer. Guests can indeed enjoy a truly unforgettable stay, with accommodation in a small hut owned by the hotel, immersed in pristine nature and far away from everything – except for the special person they want to share this experience with. To reach the hut, you first trek up Mount Stevia with a guide, up pathways between larch and fir trees, with a view of the stately Sassolungo, to approximately 2,000 meters of altitude on the Juac Alp.

At sunset, the crickets chirp until dusk. A candlelit dinner is served in the garden outside the hut, with chef Alessandro Martellini’s creations bringing together the flavors of Gardena specialties and haute cuisine. The musical background is provided by a quartet playing plectrum instruments, who climb up the mountain especially to entertain you. Once night has fallen, you can admire the sky with special astronomy binoculars – without haste, nor noise, enveloped by the charm and poetry of the unique view.
In the morning, a lavish breakfast is served in the hut – enhanced by the breathtaking mountain scenery. After using binoculars to watch eagles fly, there is time for a snack in a typical Val Gardena meadow before following the guide back down the mountain. Carrying an unforgettable experience back home…
