Here is a wonderful 1953 Pegaso Z-102 “Thrill”, with bodywork by Touring Superleggera.
The Spanish company Pegaso, founded in Barcelona in 1946, specialized in truck building – its slogan was “El camión español”.
In the 1950s, it leveraged the skills of Wilfredo Ricart – who has worked with Enzo Ferrari at Alfa Romeo for a few years – and began manufacturing sports cars as well.
It was Ricart himself that asked “Mr Touring”, designer Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni (1916-2003), to design the body of this luxury model: the result is right in front of our eyes, in all of its amazing elegance.
The Pegaso “Thrill” was the focus of a long promotional tour all around Europe. It shined in Turin, Barcelona, Paris and London, and even won the Concorso d’Eleganza Stresa in 1953.
