The Pale Mountains

Follow Giacomo Magnani, a Reggio Emilia-based architect and photographer, up the Dolomites, also knows as the “pale mountains”. These silvery peaks formed approximately 250 million years ago, and are mainly made of carbonate rock. They are part of the Italian Eastern Alps, and are shared between Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
