The mild and lovely air of Villa Baronessa

Villa Baronessa rises just outside the city center of charming Caldaro, a town along the Wine Road in southern South Tyrol.

The old pavilion in the park of this aristocratic residence – a complex of two villas, at the center of a verdant garden surrounded by vineyards – was deeply restored thanks to a forward-thinking project by architect Walter Angonese and artist Manfred Alois Mayr, who worked according to strict energy management and environmental standards.

Here, Italian and German culture meet in a place of amazing views: the Dolomites on one side and cypresses, palm trees and other Mediterranean plants on the other, “where a gentle mild air fills the area” – to quote Goethe’s observation from a couple centuries ago. Here, you can spend unforgettable holidays in a charming setting, enjoying refined architecture and every modern comfort.
