Spoon is a chic restaurant in Milan’s central Via Marcona, serving Japanese fusion cuisine with a great creative twist. Chef Wang composes innovative and balanced dishes where his research for the best ingredients merges into a deep desire for experimentation. The outcome is a range of extraordinary combinations such as his fine belly-tuna nigiri sushi paired with foie gras and balsamic vinegar.
The restaurant’s interiors are elegant and feature sumptuous details, inspired by luxury hotels. Velvet, brass, marble, crystal: the textures and materials play together beautifully, creating a retro glam mood that is both contemporary and reminiscent of the 1960s.
The venue was restyled by architecture firm Naos Design, based on the concept of contrasts. The 65-square-meter space is divided in the middle by a large pillar covered in marble and brass.
While most furniture was custom made, the chairs are “LOVE” by Calligaris Contract – with brass structure and velvet upholstery – and tables are “COCKTAIL” from the same brand, with a slate-effect surface and brass ABS profiles.
The finishing touch in the decor is carefully designed lighting, with soft and warm lights creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere.
