Nino Migliori and Niccolò dell’Arca, by candlelight

Once again, Bolognese photographer Nino Migliori has shined a light on beauty with the “Lumen” of his research, following the vision he began in 2006 (we dedicated an article to a first stage of this project some time ago).

This time, Migliori – whom we have also had the pleasure of interviewing – has added the discreet light of a candle to the “Lamentation of Christ”, a sculptural group created by Niccolò dell’Arca between 1463 and 1490, now in the church of Santa Maria della Vita in Bologna (here you can find our article about this masterpiece).

The fruit of this work are 34 extraordinary never-seen-before photographs, on display since January 20th and until April 23rd 2017 in the baroque sanctuary of Santa Maria della Vita in Bologna.

The photos are published by Quinlan, in the catalog of the exhibition.
