Cantina Dei, in Montepulciano (Siena), is a reflection of founder Alibrando Dei’s greatest passions: wine, of course, and the beauty of travertine stone.
The winery’s beautiful structure, for example, is made of travertine, wood and glass; it can be accessed through a winding staircase inspired by the fossil seashells found in the Bossona area, where the company has one of its four vineyards.
But there is another passion that envelops daily life in this land of tuff, sandstone and clay: Caterina Dei, at the helm of Cantine Dei since the 1990s, has loved music since her childhood – she even studied it in Milan’s Accademia dei Filodrammatici. One day, she dreams of “mixing” it with wine, creating an “eno-musical theater”.
Where the noble symphony of Montepulciano wines could delight all of our senses.
