Lettering from Milan

“Lettering da…” (“Lettering from…”) is a collection of photographs that capture shop signs, street numbers and plaques with original and interesting lettering, found all around Italian cities. Graphic designer Silvia Virgillo started the project in Turin in 2012, but over the years the collection has expanded to 11 other cities, from Milan to Rome and from Trieste to Lecce.

In this gallery, we’ve selected for you a taste of Milan’s most beautiful shop signs!
