Giacomo Puccini: posters for memories and music

Great artists for a great composer: Giacomo Puccini (1858 -1924) inspired painters Leopoldo Metlicovitz, Adolfo Hohenstein, Mario Cetta, Giuseppe Palanti, Vespasiano Bignami… and famous music publisher Giulio Ricordi, who wrote music himself and had strong ties to this unrivalled musical genius.

Here is a series of wonderful posters from the period between the 19th and 20th centuries, created for special performances of Puccini’s operas in Italy and abroad.
