Here is the “fall/winter collection” by ENIT (Ente nazionale italiano del Turismo), now known as Agenzia nazionale italiana del turismo (Italian National Agency for Tourism).
It includes posters, brochures, and magazine covers that the public authority entrusted with promoting the country’s touristic offer since 1919 produced in the first half of the past century, to advertise holidays in Italy between September and March: there was no “good” or “bad” season to come to Italy, because every time of the year had its own wonders.
Some of the illustrations were signed by famous artists of the time, like Manno Previtali, Ruggero Alfredo Michahelles, Domenico Delle Site, Alfredo Lalia, Franz Lenhart, Mario Puppo, and Filippo Romoli.
