Design takes center stage, at Como’s Teatro Sociale

Starting tomorrow and until September 23rd 2018, the Teatro Sociale in Como will present Lake Como Design Fair, offering a snapshot of contemporary design with an original selection of objects and furniture pieces, as well as serigraphs, drawings, graphics and etchings by artists around the world, collected from approximately sixty galleries in Italy and abroad.

The event was conceived by founder and fair director Lorenzo Butti and founder and fair curator Margherita Ratti. Its goal is to spark a conversation between the design of the foyer and main halls of the location – a wonderful structure built in the early 19th century by architects Giuseppe Cusi and Luigi Canonica – and the creativity expressed by contemporary artists, whose works are showcased in spaces set up to echo theatrical atmospheres.
