Corrado Cagli and Ceramiche Rometti

Ancona-born painter Corrado Cagli (1910-1976) started focusing on artistic ceramics in 1929, when he began a fruitful collaboration with Rometti, a company based in Umbertide (in Umbria) that had already attracted talents such as Fortunato Depero, Leoncillo Leonardi and Giacomo Balla.

Here is a small selection of the vases, dishes, and cachepots created by Cagli for Ceramiche Rometti in the 1930s.
