“Another South”: contemporary art in the Pollino National Park

ArtePollino is a cultural association established in 2008 in Latronico (Potenza) with the goal of fostering artistic expression in any form, with a special emphasis on contemporary art. Its members are guides and tour operators, geologists, engineers and architects, musicians, restaurant owners and art lovers from the area in Basilicata that borders with the Pollino National Park.

Among the many projects the association has promoted over the years, “Un altro Sud” (“Another South”) invited globally renowned artists to create permanent works of environmental art for the park – opening up one of the most beautiful naturalistic spaces in Europe to contemporary art, adding to its charm.

Here is a gallery of the winning works.
