Japanese ceramist, painter, and photographer Kozo Yano – who has lived in Paris since 1979 – loves silence and the feeling of expectation that sometimes can emerge, surprisingly, even from the most bustling metropolises. The black and white photos in this album capture the breathtaking suspension he saw in Italian cities like Florence and Rome.
