Windows of the world

Venezia, Italia

In his “Windows of the World” series, Portuguese photographer André Vincente Gonçalves pays homage to windows as both a fundamental and decorative element in buildings.
Gonçalves has captured the range of different proportions, shapes, and colors – varying according to the predominant styles in different periods – collecting images from every city and region he has visited.
In Italy he stopped in Venice, Burano, Trento, and a few small towns in the Alps.
