“Vedo a Colori” 2017: emerging street artists bring color to Civitanova Marche
We have already published an article about Giulio Vesprini a couple of years ago, showcasing his wonderful “Vedo a Colori” (“I see in color”) project, which since 2009 has been transforming the Harbor of Civitanova Marche into a vast permanent, open-air exhibition of the best street art in our country today.
We wanted to give you an update on how the project has progressed so far: sixteen shipyards and 1,000 square meters of the East pier have already been painted, and works by fifty artists are scheduled to go up this year, covering another 1,000 square meters of walls.
The project is entirely self-produced and sponsored by the Municipality of Civitanova Marche and other local, regional and European institutions; in the past few weeks it has been connected to a variety of events – such as photography shows, public events, documentaries about how murals are made.
If you missed the program, don’t worry: the most colorful harbor in the world is always open if you want to go visit its beautiful murals, and the summer ahead might just be your chance!
