Piani di Pezza, where beauty is always on track
Piani di Pezza is located in the municipalities of Rocca di Mezzo and Ovindoli, in the province of L’Aquila.
It is a wonderful 5-by-3-kilometer karstic plateau with large areas covered in beech trees and ancient forests, extending, at an average altitude of 1,500 meters, into the heart of the Sirente-Velino Regional Park, as the majestic peaks of the central Abruzzi look on.
In this pristine corner of the Earth (bordering with the Campo Felice ski resort on the north) you can try any of the most adventurous winter sports – including Nordic and Alpine skiing and ski excursions – and any of the most fun summer ones, from hiking to horseback riding to mountain biking.
It’s obviously a place where beauty is always on track.
