Inverse Landscape

The double exposure photos by Hugues Roussel – created by the French photographer directly on the negative – are masterpieces of composition, and a perfect mix of reality and chance.

This series, set in Rome, is part of an ongoing project called “Inverse Landscape”, which has already traveled to New York and Malta.

In these double photographs, Villa Torlonia’s centuries-old trees are juxtaposed to the working-class district of San Lorenzo.
