Impressions of Venice

The “Impressions of Venice” series is one chapter within “Impressions of the World”, Roberto Polillo’s now almost 10-year-old project. In this work, the Milanese photographer embraces the ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) technique, which requires long exposure and – as the name suggests – moving the camera while the shutter is open. Polillo’s Venice, explored in different times of day, is loaded with color and changeable moods, like in the most powerful painted portraits.
