Impressioni Sulcitane

The Sulcis Iglesiente is one of the wildest and most spectacular regions you’ll find on the island of Sardinia. The coastline, uninterrupted by towns, ports or even just buildings, is dominated by maquis shrubland (or ‘macchia mediterranea’, as Italians call this biome) and ancient mineral memories.
In his “Impressioni Sulcitane” series (the Solcitani were an ancient people of Sardinia), Christian Facchini decided to focus on the details to voice the true soul of this land: the dunes in Portopino, the whiteness of Calasetta, the colors of Carloforte, the geometries of Tratalias, the light in Carbonia, and last but not least, the inspiring sights of Sant’Antioco.
