Franco Mosca’s ladies

Franco Mosca, illustrazioni

Franco Mosca’s most famous women are certainly the ones portrayed in Vespa calendars: the Piedmontese illustrator (Biella, 1910-Milan, 2003) was entrusted with the famous Piaggio scooter’s first almanac in 1951, and created for it twelve ladies inspired by American pin-ups (some of them smile back at us from our gallery below).

Mosca also worked with Gino Boccasile, and in the 1930s started collaborating with Acta, the advertisement agency the Apulian illustrator had founded in Milan with Roberto Aloy.
