Dudovich and summer ladies

Marcello Dudovich, La Rinascente

Trieste-born commercial artists and painter, Marcello Dudovich (1878-1962) worked for La Rinascente from 1921 to 1955.

For the famous department stores – founded in 1865 and named by none other than visionary poet Gabriele D’Annunzio – Dudovich created some 75 works, including poster ads, brochures and other marketing materials.

Here is a selection of his posters and images dedicated to summer and spring, and to the ladies that make men dream of the warmer months.
