Borgo San Felice, relax at the heart of Chianti Classico
Since 1992, Borgo San Felice – part of the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the province of Siena – has become an incredible “albergo diffuso” (an original Italian form of hospitality, where accommodation is available in various separate buildings and not a single block) after a long and careful renovation of its ancient structures.
Now the Relais&Châteaux Borgo San Felice can boast being located in the same village where, in the early 1900s, the Del Taja family founded the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium (now headquartered in Tavernelle Val di Pesa, in the province of Florence). Furthermore, the ancient Tuscan town is also where research and production of Sangiovese wine started in 1978.
Today, it offers an elegant luxury hotel with 25 rooms and 24 suites, joined by the refinement and charm of historical homes merging with the style of contemporary design.
